Dealing with the Altitude Adjustment:

Visiting Telluride means experiencing elevation ranging from 8,750 to 14,000+ feet. There is less oxygen and less humidity in the air and for low landers, this drier, less oxygenated climate can cause a variety of unpleasant symptoms.

Here are some ways to prevent or combat altitude-related challenges:

1. Drink plenty of water (more than you would at home): dehydration can compound high-altitude symptoms.

2. Ease into it!: Treat yourself kindly on day one!

3. Get ample sleep.

4. Plan to use sunscreen & wear sunglasses: at high altitudes, the sun is very strong because there is less atmosphere to filter UV rays.
